The grotto was established by flora’s grandparents in 1920. Since then most of the served food is created by family members.

Very recently Fiore, Flora’s son, left the kitchen of Villa Principe Leopoldo to join the family business. While keeping the traditional menu, which made the success of the grotto for almost a century, Fiore is amazing guests with some of his creations, be it homemade grissini or a variety of exquisite desserts.
At Grotto Flora you will enjoy Ticino’s traditional cuisine at it’s best: homemade, air dried sausages like salami and mortadella, mushroom and saffron risotto, seasonal organic vegetables plate, salad, a variety of meat grilled over a wood fire, and zabaglione for dessert. Pair it with a good Merlot from Ticino with gazzosa.
